Wednesday's College Football Slate: Three Games, One Kickoff Window

Midweek college football is here. Wednesday night brings three games, all kicking off at 7:30 PM ET: UMass at Toledo, Sacramento State at Central Michigan, and Buffalo at Ball State. Every price below comes from FanDuel, so the best-price question is simple this time.

A quick note on research: our live form and head-to-head feed did not return data for these teams. We are not going to invent records, streaks or table positions. This breakdown is built on the market numbers alone, so treat it as a price-and-structure analysis and do your own homework on injuries and weather before betting.

What the Prices Are Telling Us

Two of the three spreads carry the same juice split at FanDuel: the favorite at -122 and the underdog at +100. That is Toledo -13.5 against UMass +13.5, and Buffalo -2.5 against Ball State +2.5. When the book charges extra on the favorite and pays even money on the dog, it is leaning toward the favorite side. It also means getting +100 on a dog is a better price than the standard -110.

The Central Michigan game is priced evenly at -110 on both sides of the 14.5-point spread. The moneylines are lopsided: CMU at -769 implies roughly an 88% win probability before the book's margin, and Toledo at -667 implies about 87%. Those moneylines are poor parlay fuel, since you risk a lot for very little return. That is why the spread is the better route on these two games.

Parlay 1: The Favorites Cover (+595)

  • Toledo Rockets -13.5 (-122) - FanDuel
  • Central Michigan Chippewas -14.5 (-110) - FanDuel
  • Ball State Cardinals +2.5 (+100) - FanDuel

Combined price: +595. The first two legs back two heavy home favorites to win comfortably. The third takes the points at even money in the game with the smallest spread. Ball State at home as a short underdog can win outright or lose by a field goal or less and still cash, and +116 on the moneyline shows the market sees this as close to a coin flip. This is the most aggressive of our three tickets because it needs two big margins.

Parlay 2: Buffalo ML, a Big Dog and a Total (+527)

  • Buffalo Bulls moneyline (-139) - FanDuel
  • Sacramento State Hornets +14.5 (-110) - FanDuel
  • Over 52.5 in UMass @ Toledo (-110) - FanDuel

Combined price: +527. Buffalo's spread is only -2.5, so we are comfortable using the moneyline at -139 instead of laying -122 on the number. Moneyline wins also add some safety if Buffalo wins by one or two. Sacramento State getting more than two touchdowns gives us a cushion against a road blowout. The over 52.5 at Toledo is the highest total on the board, and a 13.5-point spread plus a 52.5 total implies a Toledo team score around 33. If Toledo hits that, UMass only needs the high teens to push this over.

Parlay 3: Double Dog Value Play (+282)

  • UMass Minutemen +13.5 (+100) - FanDuel
  • Sacramento State Hornets +14.5 (-110) - FanDuel

Combined price: +282. This is the cleanest value ticket. Both road teams get more than 13 points, and one of them is priced at plus-money. Two-team parlays also keep the variance down. Big-spread college games often produce backdoor covers late, and this ticket is built to take advantage of that.

Value Flags

  • UMass +13.5 at +100: Plus-money on a double-digit underdog spread is the most generous price on the slate.
  • Ball State +2.5 at +100: You get the points and the plus-money, and the +116 moneyline is also live if you want an outright upset.
  • Sacramento State +530 and UMass +470 on the moneyline: These are long shots, implying roughly 16% and 18% before margin. We are not building parlays around them, but a small standalone sprinkle is where the pure upside lives.

Bottom Line

Where to place these parlays

A parlay has to be placed at a single sportsbook, so the best price for each individual leg is not always available together. These are the live prices for each whole parlay at the sportsbooks that offer every leg.

Parlay 2 (3 legs)FanDuel +527-
Parlay 3 (2 legs)FanDuel +282-

Parlay 3 is our best value, Parlay 2 gives the most balanced mix of markets, and Parlay 1 is the highest-variance ticket. Because we could not pull form or head-to-head context, check injury reports and weather close to kickoff, and keep your stakes small. Please gamble responsibly, only bet what you can afford to lose, and seek help if betting stops being fun.
