How to use the parlay calculator

  1. Choose the odds format your sportsbook shows: American (+150, -110), decimal (2.50) or fractional (3/2).
  2. Enter your stake and the odds for each leg. Add up to 15 legs.
  3. Leave each leg on Win to see the potential payout. Once games finish, set legs to Push or Loss to see what the parlay actually pays.

How parlay odds are calculated

A parlay multiplies the odds of every leg. Convert each leg to decimal odds, multiply them together, then multiply by your stake to get the total payout. Take your stake away to get the profit.

Example: a $10 three-leg parlay with legs at -110, +150 and -120.

  • -110 is 1.909 in decimal, +150 is 2.500, and -120 is 1.833.
  • 1.909 x 2.500 x 1.833 = 8.75, so the parlay odds are +775.
  • $10 x 8.75 = $87.50 payout, which is $77.50 profit.

To convert American odds to decimal: for positive odds divide by 100 and add 1 (+150 becomes 2.50). For negative odds divide 100 by the number and add 1 (-110 becomes 1.909).

Parlay payout chart

What a parlay pays when every leg is priced at -110, the standard price for a point spread or total. Your sportsbook may round slightly differently.

LegsParlay odds$10 paysImplied chance
2-team parlay+264$36.4527.4%
3-team parlay+596$69.5814.4%
4-team parlay+1,228$132.837.5%
5-team parlay+2,436$253.593.9%
6-team parlay+4,741$484.132.1%
7-team parlay+9,142$924.241.1%
8-team parlay+17,545$1,764.460.57%
9-team parlay+33,585$3,368.520.30%
10-team parlay+64,208$6,430.820.16%
11-team parlay+122,670$12,277.010.08%
12-team parlay+234,279$23,437.930.04%

Notice how quickly the implied chance falls: every extra leg roughly halves it. The sportsbook's margin also compounds with each leg, so the price you get on each one matters more in a parlay than in a single bet.

What happens if a leg pushes or is voided?

At most US sportsbooks a push (for example a spread that lands exactly on the number) or a voided leg is removed, and the parlay is paid on the remaining legs. A three-leg parlay with one push is settled as a two-leg parlay. If any leg loses, the whole parlay loses. Set a leg to Push in the calculator to see the new payout.

The same parlay can pay noticeably more at one sportsbook than another because each book prices every leg differently. BestParlayOdds compares parlay prices across licensed US sportsbooks for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and soccer, so you can see which book pays most before you bet. Parlay calculator FAQ

How do you calculate parlay odds?

Convert each leg to decimal odds, multiply them together, and multiply the result by your stake. That is your total payout, stake included. For example, three legs at -110 (1.909 in decimal) give 1.909 x 1.909 x 1.909 = 6.96, so a $10 parlay pays $69.58 and the profit is $59.58. In American odds that parlay is +596.

What happens to my parlay if one leg pushes?

At most US sportsbooks a pushed or voided leg is removed and the parlay is paid on the remaining legs. A 3-leg parlay with one push becomes a 2-leg parlay. If only one leg is left, it is paid as a single bet. Set the leg to "Push" in the calculator to see the new payout. Some books have their own rules for ties, so check the house rules.

What does a 3-team parlay pay?

With all three legs at -110, a 3-team parlay pays about +596, so $10 returns $69.58. The exact payout depends on the price of each leg, which is why comparing the same parlay across sportsbooks matters: the gap between the best and worst book can be large.

Is a parlay worth more than betting each leg separately?

A parlay pays more than the same legs as single bets because the odds multiply, but every leg has to win. The sportsbook margin also multiplies with each leg, so long parlays carry a bigger house edge than single bets. Parlays suit small stakes on legs you have a strong view on.

How do I convert American odds to decimal?

For positive American odds, divide by 100 and add 1: +150 is 2.50. For negative odds, divide 100 by the number (ignoring the minus sign) and add 1: -110 is 1.909. The calculator does this for you whichever format you enter.

Why do different sportsbooks pay different amounts for the same parlay?

Each sportsbook sets its own price for every leg, and the differences multiply across the parlay. A few cents on each leg can add up to a much bigger payout at one book than another. BestParlayOdds compares the whole parlay across licensed US sportsbooks so you can see which one pays most.
