Premier League Gameweek 10 Predicted Lineups: Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Updated
Our predicted starting XIs for every Premier League match this gameweek, with injuries, doubts and suspensions. This page is updated every gameweek and again shortly before the first kickoff.

Gameweek 10 arrives with a long list of absentees. Liverpool go to Crystal Palace with six players out, while Manchester United have a suspension issue in attack that could change their predicted XI. Arsenal will be without Saka and Tottenham are missing four attacking players, so the availability news shapes several of the bigger matches.

Elsewhere, Fulham report a clean bill of health, and Newcastle must cope with a suspension in midfield. All lineups below are predicted and can change before official team sheets arrive, so check the doubts carefully before you build a parlay.

Everton vs Coventry City - Friday, 3:00 PM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Everton: Pickford; Rohl, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Garner, Armstrong; Johnson, Dewsbury-Hall, George; Barry
  • Coventry City: Rushworth; van Ewijk, Mfuni, Pinnock, Dasilva; Yirenkyi, Torp; Sakamoto, Rudoni, Gboho; Awoniyi

Everton have two doubts. George is questionable but sits in our predicted XI, and Grealish is also questionable and is not expected to start. Coventry have three doubts in Eccles, Bobby Thomas and Woolfenden, while Amenda and Wright are out. If Thomas or Woolfenden fail to recover, expect Coventry's back line to look different from the one above.

For bettors, Everton's predicted defense looks settled, and Coventry are short of options up front without Wright, which leaves Awoniyi as their clear focal point. That helps the home side on the moneyline and could make a low-scoring game more likely. The angle to track is George's status: if he drops out, Everton lose some creativity, which would matter for goalscorer and both teams to score markets. Coventry's defensive doubts keep the over in play if Everton's attackers are all fit.

Leeds United vs Tottenham Hotspur - Saturday, 7:30 AM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Leeds United: Trafford; Muharemovic, Elvedi, Justin; Bogle, Tanaka, Ampadu, Gudmundsson; Stach, Wilson; Calvert-Lewin
  • Tottenham Hotspur: Kinsky; Porro, van de Ven, van Hecke, Robertson; Fernandes, Tonali; Kudus, Marmoush, Tel; Solanke

Leeds expect to be without Joseph and Rodon, and Okafor is a doubt. That leaves Calvert-Lewin as the predicted lone striker. Tottenham's injury list is longer: Savio, Mudryk, Odobert and Xavi Simons are all out, and Adarabioyo and Bergvall are doubts. Their attack is built from Kudus, Marmoush and Tel, with Solanke up front.

Both sides are thin in attack, so it is worth checking the shot-taking roles. Leeds' back three and wing-backs give them a compact shape, while Tottenham's makeshift front line may not carry the same threat as a full-strength group. Moneyline bettors should note that the predicted lineups look fairly balanced. Totals and both teams to score depend on how the attackers fill in for the absentees. Calvert-Lewin and Solanke are the obvious goalscorer names. If Adarabioyo is out, Tottenham's depth in defense gets tested.

Arsenal vs Hull City - Saturday, 10:00 AM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Arsenal: Raya; Timber, Gabriel, Konsa, Calafiori; Guimaraes, Rice; Madueke, Odegaard, Tzolis; Havertz
  • Hull City: Tzolakis; Coyle, Mendy, Egan, Ajayi, Giles; Belloumi, Iroegbunam, Slater, Stroud; McBurnie

Arsenal are without Saka, and Dowman is suspended. Saliba is a doubt, and if he misses out, the defense shown above is likely to rotate. Hull have a heavy injury list: Gyabi, Hughes, Matazo and Targett are out, Crooks is suspended, and Ansah, Butland and Gourna-Douath are questionable. Butland's doubt matters because it is a goalkeeper call, although Tzolakis is in our predicted XI.

For bettors, Arsenal's predicted XI still has plenty of quality even without Saka, and Hull's long list of absentees makes it hard for them to compete. Expect Hull to defend deep in a back five. Arsenal's moneyline is the obvious angle, but that is likely priced in, so many parlay builders look at team totals, corners or shots instead. Hull's best route to a goal is McBurnie and counterattacks, so both teams to score looks a tougher sell. Check Saliba's status before finalizing any clean sheet leg.

Fulham vs Newcastle United - Saturday, 10:00 AM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Fulham: Leno; Castagne, Affengruber, Bassey, Robinson; Charles, Berge; Bobb, King, Iwobi; Garcia
  • Newcastle United: Hornicek; Dedic, Burn, Schar, Hall; Joelinton, Gonzalez; Elanga, Willock, Barnes; Osula

Fulham list no injuries, so the predicted XI above should be close to their strongest. Newcastle are less fortunate. Ramsey is suspended, Livramento and Jaouen are out, and Fernandez-Pardo and Miley are doubts. Miley's status matters for midfield balance, and the same is true of Fernandez-Pardo for depth in attack.

A fully fit home side against a Newcastle team with a few holes points to a competitive game. Moneyline bettors may see Fulham's availability as a tiebreaker, while the draw is a live option in a match between fairly even sides. For totals, Fulham's attacking midfielders Iwobi, King and Bobb give them several routes to goal, and Newcastle have Barnes, Elanga and Osula to threaten in return, so both teams to score is a reasonable angle. Goalscorer bettors should watch whether Newcastle's doubtful players are included when official lineups come out.

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City - Saturday, 12:30 PM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Nottingham Forest: Sels; Cunha, Murillo, Milenkovic; Munoz, McAtee, Schlager, Williams; Gibbs-White, Ndoye; Delap
  • Manchester City: Donnarumma; Nunes, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol; Anderson, Bouaddi; Ndiaye, Fernandez, Doku; Haaland

Forest have two doubts: Dominguez and Igor Jesus are both questionable, and Savona is out. If Igor Jesus is fit, he could challenge Delap for the striker role. Manchester City are only missing Semenyo, so their predicted XI looks close to full strength, with Haaland leading the line and Doku and Ndiaye providing width.

City's attack has plenty of options, which supports interest in Haaland as the main goalscorer name and in City team totals. Forest's back three and wing-backs will try to keep the game tight, and they have Gibbs-White and Ndoye behind Delap to hit on the break, so both teams to score is not out of the question. The moneyline is the more complicated call because Forest at home may be dangerous in transition. Watch for news on Igor Jesus and Dominguez, since either could change Forest's attacking shape.

Brighton and Hove Albion vs Brentford - Sunday, 9:00 AM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Brighton and Hove Albion: Verbruggen; Kadioglu, Vuskovic, Dunk, Boscagli; Chema, Gross; Gomez, Ayari, De Cuyper; Kostoulas
  • Brentford: Kelleher; Kayode, Ajer, van den Berg, Lewis-Potter; Janelt, Yarmolyuk; Ouattara, Jensen, Schade; Thiago

Brighton have a long absence list: Azeez, Ferguson, Mitoma, Tzimas and Yohanna are out. Kadioglu is questionable but included in our predicted XI, and Struijk is a doubt. Brentford are without Carvalho, Furo and Henry, and Josh Dasilva and Milambo are both doubts, which affects midfield depth.

These two teams look closely matched on paper, and both are missing attacking depth. The moneyline looks tight, so the draw deserves a look. If Kadioglu is not fit, Brighton's right side loses a key piece, and Brentford could target that area through Schade and Ouattara. Thiago leads the line for Brentford and Kostoulas for Brighton, so they are the likely goalscorer names. Both teams have enough forwards and midfielders to score, which keeps both teams to score in the conversation, though the injury lists mean totals bettors should wait for official lineups.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool - Sunday, 9:00 AM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Crystal Palace: Henderson; Canvot, Richards, Disasi; Khalaili, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Pino, McNeil; Nketiah
  • Liverpool: Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, van Dijk, Kerkez; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Gakpo, Wirtz, Barcola; Isak

Palace have plenty of availability concerns. Mateta is suspended, Riad and Tomiyasu are out, and Sarr, Strand Larsen and Q. Timber are all questionable. Nketiah is the predicted striker. Liverpool have six players out: Bradley, Ekitike, Frimpong, Gravenberch, Leoni and Nallo. Their defense and midfield are stretched, but the front line of Gakpo, Wirtz, Barcola and Isak remains strong.

Liverpool's attack is the main reason bettors will look at their team total and at Isak or Wirtz in goalscorer markets. Palace are short at striker, and with several doubts, it is unclear how many chances they can create. However, Liverpool's makeshift back line could be exposed if Sarr is fit, which keeps both teams to score alive. The moneyline depends on whether you trust Liverpool's attackers more than their depleted defense. Check Sarr and Strand Larsen before locking in any Palace goalscorer leg.

Ipswich Town vs Bournemouth - Sunday, 9:00 AM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Ipswich Town: Walton; Ouattara, Diop, O'Shea, Davis; Luis, Palacios; Fatawu, Enciso, Philogene; Emersonn
  • Bournemouth: Petrovic; Smith, Silva, Hill, Truffert; Christie, Adams; Rayan, Kluivert, Tavernier; Evanilson

Ipswich have two questionable midfielders in Lukic and Jack Taylor, though neither is in our predicted XI. Their expected lineup has plenty of attacking pace in Fatawu, Philogene and Enciso. Bournemouth are without Araujo, Scott and Toth, and Milosavljevic is a doubt in defense. Their predicted front line of Rayan, Kluivert, Tavernier and Evanilson is a strong one.

This looks like a competitive game with attacking quality on both sides, so totals and both teams to score are the markets to look at. Bournemouth's absentees are mostly in midfield and defense, which may give Ipswich room to counter. The moneyline looks fairly close, so the draw is a fair thing to consider. Evanilson and Kluivert are natural names for goalscorer bets, while Emersonn leads Ipswich's line. If Milosavljevic is out, Bournemouth's defense could be tested in the air and on the break.

Sunderland vs Chelsea - Sunday, 9:00 AM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Sunderland: Roefs; Hume, Danso, Mukiele, Reinildo; Xhaka, Sadiki; Meunier, Le Fee, Angulo; Brobbey
  • Chelsea: Penders; Acheampong, Fofana, Colwill, Palestra; Henderson, Caicedo; Estevao, Palmer, Rogers; Neto

Sunderland have Mukiele as a doubt even though he features in the predicted XI. Alderete Fernandez is suspended, and Ballard, Diarra and Mundle are out. Chelsea's list is longer: Reece James, Joao Pedro, Lacroix, Anselmino and Gittens are out, while Hato, Henderson and goalkeeper E. Martinez are questionable. Henderson's doubt matters for the midfield pairing with Caicedo.

Chelsea's attacking group of Estevao, Palmer, Rogers and Neto is strong, and Sunderland will be challenged if Mukiele is not fit. With Joao Pedro out, Neto is the predicted central forward, which may change how Chelsea create chances. Moneyline bettors face a game where the visitors have the stronger attack but far more absentees. Both teams to score looks a reasonable angle given Brobbey and Le Fee for Sunderland. For goalscorers, Palmer and Brobbey are the key names, but check the doubts in goal and midfield first.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa - Sunday, 11:30 AM ET

Predicted Lineup Gameweek 10

  • Manchester United: Lammens; Yoro, Heaven, Maguire, Dalot; Tielemans, Mainoo; Diallo, Fernandes, Cunha; Mbeumo
  • Aston Villa: Suzuki; Bogarde, Lindelof, Torres, Maatsen; Kamara, Goretzka; Alysson, McGinn, Manzambi; Jackson

Manchester United's availability news is tangled. Our source lists Cunha in the predicted XI but also flags him as suspended, so his place is unreliable and should be treated as uncertain. Martinez is suspended as well, and Baleba, Dorgu, Rashford, Sesko, Shaw and Ugarte are out. Villa are without Onana, Ruggeri and Wan-Bissaka, and Cash is suspended, which leaves them short at right-back and in midfield.

Both teams have lengthy lists, which makes this one worth revisiting after official teams are announced. United's attacking depth is thin with Rashford and Sesko out, so Fernandes and Mbeumo carry the load, and Cunha's status could change who supports them. Villa have Jackson up front and McGinn in midfield, but their depleted right side may be a target. Moneyline and totals are hard to call from the news alone. Both teams to score is a sensible angle given the defensive absences, while goalscorer bettors should watch Cunha's status.
