Profit boost or odds boost token not showing in your bet slip? Here's why it won't apply and how to fix it.

Odds Boost or Profit Boost Token Not Showing? Why It Won't Apply

You claimed a boost, built your bet, opened the bet slip, and the token isn't there. Or it's there but won't switch on. There's usually no error message to explain it, which is what makes it so frustrating. Sportsbooks generally only show a boost token when the bet in your slip qualifies for it, so a missing token almost always means one of the rules below hasn't been met.

Odds Boost vs Profit Boost: Same Problem, Different Names

Each sportsbook names these tokens differently, which is why searching for help can be confusing. FanDuel and Caesars call them Profit Boosts. BetMGM calls them Odds Boost Tokens. DraftKings uses both terms, and Fanatics and theScore Bet use Profit Boost.

There is a technical difference. A profit boost adds a percentage to your winnings if the bet wins, while an odds boost or price boost raises the odds shown on the bet before you place it. In practice, both work through a token in your bet slip, both come with their own rules, and both disappear from view when your bet doesn't qualify.

The Most Common Reasons Your Boost Token Won't Apply

  1. Wrong sport, league or game. A token tied to one sport won't appear for another. Caesars gives the example of a football boost not showing up when basketball bets are in the slip.
  2. Wrong bet type. Many tokens only work on parlays, and some exclude same game parlays. FanDuel's Boost Builder, for example, is for regular parlays only, not same game parlays or straight bets. Some tokens also exclude round robins.
  3. Not enough legs. Parlay tokens usually need a minimum number of legs. A three-leg minimum is common, and some DraftKings promos have required four or more.
  4. Odds outside the allowed range. Most tokens set a minimum and sometimes a maximum price. BetMGM odds boost tokens have required odds of -300 or longer, FanDuel's Boost Builder needs every leg at -400 or longer, and some parlay tokens require the whole bet to be at +300 or longer before the boost.
  5. You're using a bonus bet. FanDuel says profit boosts are for real-money wagers only, and Caesars doesn't let you stack a profit boost on top of a bonus bet token. Switch to cash and the boost should appear.
  6. You never opted in. Many boosts have to be claimed or opted into on the promotions page before they show up in the bet slip. DraftKings boosts, for example, aren't applied automatically.
  7. The token has expired. Tokens often expire at a set time, sometimes as soon as the first or last eligible game starts. Some new customer tokens last only 24 hours.
  8. Pre-game token on a live bet, or the other way round. FanDuel separates Profit Boosts for pre-game bets from Live Profit Boosts for in-play bets. A pre-game token won't appear once the game has started.
  9. Another promo is already applied. Books generally don't let you stack offers. At bet365, for example, Parlay Boost isn't available on a multi-leg bet that already carries a Bet Boost.
  10. You didn't switch it on before placing the bet. Tokens have to be toggled on in the bet slip first. They can't be added to a bet that's already been placed.

Profit Boost Not Showing on FanDuel

On FanDuel, claim the boost, build your bet, then toggle the Profit Boost on in the bet slip. The slip shows whether the token can be used as you build. If it won't switch on, open the boost's More info details. Each one has its own terms covering sport, bet type, number of legs and odds range. Remember that bonus bets and boosts can't be combined.

Odds Boost Token Not Showing on DraftKings

Opt into the promotion first, then select the token in the bet slip before you place the bet. If it doesn't appear, refreshing the page or opting in again often fixes it. Check the leg count and minimum odds in the terms, since DraftKings parlay tokens frequently require several legs and long combined odds.

BetMGM Odds Boost Token Not Working

Check the Promotions page to confirm the token is in your account and see which sports or events it covers. Add an eligible bet, then tap Apply Reward in the bet slip. Look out for minimum odds and the maximum stake listed in the terms.

Caesars Profit Boost Not in the Bet Slip

Caesars shows available boosts in the Bonus Drawer of the bet slip, and only when they can be used on the wagers you've added. If the boost isn't there, your bet doesn't qualify. You can bet more than the boost's maximum wager, but the boost only applies up to that amount, and the rest is paid at normal odds.

Fanatics and theScore Bet

Both require you to apply or toggle the boost in the bet slip. Fanatics only lets you apply a profit boost to markets it qualifies for, and its tokens often carry a maximum stake and minimum odds. On theScore Bet, you opt into the boost you want, add your pick, and switch the Profit Boost toggle on.

What If the Bet Is a Parlay That Won't Even Combine?

Sometimes the boost isn't the problem at all. If your legs can't be combined into a single parlay, no parlay token will apply until the slip is valid. Our guide to the selections cannot be combined error explains why that happens and how to rebuild the bet.

One More Thing: Cashing Out Loses the Boost

If your boosted bet offers a cash out, check the amount before you take it. Cash out offers are usually based on the unboosted price, so cashing out early means giving up the extra winnings from the boost. Some promo terms also say a cashed out bet voids the promotion.

Quick Fix Checklist

  • Confirm you opted in and the token hasn't expired.
  • Check the sport, league or game matches the token.
  • Check the bet type: single, parlay, same game parlay or round robin.
  • Count your legs against the minimum.
  • Compare your odds with the required range.
  • Switch from a bonus bet to cash.
  • Toggle the token on before you place the bet.

Gamble responsibly. Only bet what you can afford to lose, and use deposit limits or self-exclusion tools if you need them.
